Professional flautist, accompanist and teacher.

I'm Katy Strudwick and I have been teaching and performing in and around Chesterfield, Derbyshire, for over 20 years.

Following a music degree at Royal Holloway University in Surrey, I took a PGCE course at Leeds and then taught secondary music in Chesterfield schools.

I became a peripatetic and private flute and piano teacher in 2003, and teach in 4 local schools and in my own home, as well as being the Musical Director for the Junior & Intermediate Musical Theatre classes at Chesterfield Studios

Since July 2017 I have also been working as an ABRSM Music Examiner, working both in the UK and internationally, visiting and working in China and Hong Kong.

I regularly perform as a flute soloist in and around the local area with Andrew Marples (piano), and often accompany local choirs and soloists in concerts, as well as being involved as the Musical Director with Holymoorside Arts Festival.

Have a look at my Previous Concert information to see where I've performed over the past years, and the Calendar of Events to find out where to see me next.
