Professional flautist, accompanist and teacher.

I'm Katy Strudwick and I have been teaching  and performing in and around Chesterfield, Derbyshire, for almost 20 years since moving to the area in 1997.

Following a music degree at Royal Holloway University in Surrey, I took a PGCE course at Leeds and then taught secondary music in Chesterfield schools.

I became a peripatetic and private flute and piano teacher in 2003, and was the regular accompanist for the Holymoorside Choral Society until 2011.

In July 2017 I successfully passed my training to become an ABRSM Music Examiner, working both in the UK and internationally.

I regularly perform as a flute soloist in and around the local area with Andrew Marples, and have performed with Nichola Dinnigan in a flute and guitar duo.

Have a look at my Previous Concert information to see where I've performed over the past years, and the Calendar of Events to find out where to see me next.
